The Democratic Party Committee meeting convened last night at 9 o’clock.

At this meeting, they announced that they would finalize the issue of nomination for the mayor of Seoul, but in the end, they did not reach a conclusion.

The issue of exclusion from the nominations of former Representative Song Young-gil and Rep. Park Ju-min was also not decided due to differences in opinions of the non-commissioned members.

“There are considerable differences of opinion among the non-commissioned members… Still, the opinion that a more in-depth reflection should be given for a day or two (the members of the non-commissioned members gathered)”

However, considering the timetable for the primary, he said that he would make a decision by today or tomorrow at the latest as soon as the time is tight.

In the meantime, he explained that he would contact additional potential candidates.

As the decision of the leadership is delayed, it seems that the noise surrounding the nomination for Seoul mayor will continue for a while.

Previously, the Strategic Nomination Committee decided to exclude Song from the nomination, saying that it was inappropriate to run for president Song, who stepped down following taking responsibility for the election.

“I resigned following saying that I would resign as the party leader taking responsibility for the loss in the presidential election… I want to ask whether the responsibility is now gone.”

“I think that the Seoul mayor election is no different from a declaration of defeat and not holding a primary. I will correct the nomination for mayor of Seoul according to the will of the people and party members.”

Here, former CEO Song Young-gil said that the exclusion of the nomination was “a preemptive blow to oppose the return to politics of advisor Lee Jae-myung by linking it to responsibility for the defeat in the presidential election,” sparking a sectarian conflict.

The Democratic Party is confused as it has not been able to find a person who can stand up to the current Mayor Oh Se-hoon, and the party’s internal affair has also overlapped.
