Deichkind are masters of irritation. They have proved that not only once in their 25-year band existence. And what might be more irritating than a yodel as the first musical sign following a three-year release break? This said yodeling was only there at the very end of the production, when Deichkind became aware of the Swiss duo Stimmhorn and decided to Vocal sobs as a sample have borrowed. That’s how the band has it FM4 interview with Christian Lehner told. Musically, the intro is hard stuff at first, the band’s internal plan to cause confusion with the single works immediately.
In nature – that’s where you crack your foot. In nature – that’s where your survival book fails. In nature – no one helps when you call. You haven’t showered for a long time and you didn’t book this here.
A few years ago, no one would have thought that the Hamburg Krawall-und-Remmidemmi group would start yodeling. But now the party is over even at Deichkind. The following hour takes place in the new track in the green, in the surrounding local recreation area. For “In der Natur”, their ironic to self-ironic first harbinger of the upcoming album “Neues vom Dauerstaat”, Deichkind have opposed their usual electronic one In-the-face-Sound decided and put on some more synthetic fabric softener. The synthesizers thus have their big appearance in the song – at the latest when the forest, in which one longs for “oat milk and heating”, turns out to be a post-apocalyptic refuge.
I’m messing up the look here
And the rosehip itches
Thorns are cutting into my leg
Under the slogan “News from the permanent state” Deichkind is going on a big tour in 2013. The start will be on June 21, 2023 in the Wiener Stadthalle. The new and eighth album, which should be released in spring, will also be included in the luggage.
In the music video for the song, it rains pop culture and socio-political quotes, from “Planet of the Apes” and “Apocalypse Now” to a “Dark” aesthetic and Putin’s oversized marble swank table, the allusions accumulate. Speaking of rain: At some point it even starts as an audio track and with all the new Deichkind radiation and the status quo of world history, the rain even sounds a little sour.
