[아이뉴스24 송대성 기자] Heung-Min Son, who is playing in the English Premier League (EPL), has been included in the top 10 signings of the Tottenham Hotspur club.
On the 27th (Korean time), the British media Football London selected and introduced the 10 best signings of Tottenham Hotspur since the start of the EPL in 1992.
The media include Teddy Sheringham (England), Jurgen Klinsmann (Germany), David Ginola, Hugo Lorris (France), Christian Eriksen (Denmark), Jan Pertonghen, Moussa Dembele (Belgium), Luca Modric (Croatia) ), Gareth Bale (Wales), and others who have shown their presence on the EPL stage are listed.
Son Heung-min’s name is also included here.
Football London said, “It has been 7 years since Son Heung-min opened the door to Tottenham. He played 334 games for Tottenham and was involved in 209 points (134 goals and 75 assists).” Heung-min Son became one of the best players in the EPL “he explained.
Heung-min Son joined Tottenham from Leverkusen in 2015 in the German Bundesliga. Even in the early days of his transfer, he had trouble adapting, but gradually he grew into a key player as he melted into the league and team.
In particular, in the 2021-2022 season, he scored 23 goals and had a golden boot with Mohamed Salah (Liverpool). Heung-Min Son became the first Asian player to become the top scorer in the top five European leagues.
