Heung-Min Son was not included in the season’s best 11 selected by the English Professional Football Association (PFA).

After not being included in the PFA’s Player of the Year nomination, he was not included in the ‘Team of the Year’.

PFA held an online ‘PFA Awards 2022’ event on the 10th (Korean time) to announce and award winners in each category, including Player of the Year and Young Player.

The Male Player of the Year award went to Muhammad Salah (Liverpool), who scored 23 goals in the EPL season in 2021-2022 and shared the top scorer with Son Heung-min. The Women’s Player of the Year award went to Sam Kerr, who helped Chelsea Women win the regular season and won the FA Cup for the second time in a row.

Manchester City’s Phil Foden and Lauren Hemp were voted the Young Players of the Year for both men and women.

The ‘PFA Team of the Year’, which is the best 11 of the season by league, was also announced.

The Premier League Team of the Year in a 4-3-3 formation includes goalkeeper Alisson (Liverpool), defender Joao Cancelo (Man City)-Antonio Rudiger (Chelsea)-Virgil Vandeek-Trent Alexander Arnold (and above Liverpool), midfielder Kevin Ther. Bruiner (Man City) – Thiago Alcantara (Liverpool) – Bernardo Silva (Man City), striker Salah – Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United) – Sadio Mane (Liverpool) were named.

The British Daily Mail reported the local atmosphere, saying, “Fans accuse Son Heung-min, who received the Golden Boot (scoring champion), as a ‘criminal’ for being absent from the PFA Team of the Year.”

The media moved the reaction of soccer fans, such as “Heung-Min Son won the Golden Boot without a penalty kick” and “Heung-Min Son is currently the most underrated and disrespected player in the world.”
