This is more or less the conversation that Daniel, Andreas and Mattias, three Swedish friends who proposed increase potency from his Ford Crown Victoriaa sedan that has been manufactured in the United States from 1955 to 2011 and one of the great representatives of the american sedan.

The Ford Crown Victoria is an American icon because it has been widely used by law enforcement. In fact, the announcement of the end of its production caused a huge increase in sales to expand the stock.

Its secret to being repeatedly chosen by the American police forces despite being a heavy car and more than five meters long lay in its engine: a V8 4.6 the 220 CV which is extremely easy to repair. A power and a displacement that, of course, these three Swedish colleagues have seemed totally insufficient.

“That goes in there, man”

The considered creator of the project is Daniel Werner, a motor enthusiast who has been with a project on his hands since 2020: to install an entire 27 liter V12 engine (yes, you read that right) in the famous Ford Crown Victoria.

This 650 hp V12 is a Rolls-Royce Meteor used in tanks during World War II and that was bought by Daniel for 6,000 euros. The story was born car engine and sportsafter Daniel’s father left him a love for big engines as a legacy.

At the moment, the car is already functional but it is still far from the potential that Daniel wants to achieve. The complications come, obviously, derived from the particularities of the engine. This one has so much torque (1,966 Nm) at low revs that the transmission is being a headache for the team, as reflected in the video.

In addition, they have had to cut a large part of the engine compartment and redesign some parts so that they physically adapt to the new engine, in addition to admitting such power, as echoed in motorpassion. The weight of more than 800 kg is not making things easy either.
