A Apple today revealed some important information regarding the Vision Proits first mixed reality (AR/VR) headset, whose pre-sale opened a few hours ago in the United States.

In this sense, we now know that the headset has three storage options, among other device specifications. More than that, Maçã also detailed the use of Vision Pro with certain vision conditions in a new support document.

Apple Vision Pro Guided Tour

In it, Apple explained that the use of rigid contact lenses may affect the usage experience with Vision Pro‌, so those who use them are recommended to follow these optical inserts supplied by ZEISS — which magnetically attach to the Vision Pro lenses.

If you have difficulty with eye tracking and your eye doctor has indicated that prescription glasses are an option for you, consider ordering optical inserts from ZEISS.

Apple offers two versions of optical inserts at different prices: reading ones (without any distance correction) that cost US$100; and those with prescription (with distance correction), which cost US$150. Additionally, users can personalize them for free with engravings on the sides, to help identify them more easily.

Vision Pro also does not work with cosmetic contact lenses, which must be removed for the device to function properly. On the other hand, the headset is compatible with most soft contact lenses.

For those who have undergone corrective monovision surgery, Apple recommends that an ophthalmologist be consulted so that the user can obtain a prescription compatible with the measurements supported by Vision Pro‌.

Some medical conditions, such as those involving drooping eyelids, changes in eye alignment (including strabismus or amblyopia), or uncontrolled eye movements (including nystagmus) can make it difficult for Apple Vision Pro to detect your eyes properly. This can affect the visual experience .

The company also recommends that people diagnosed with certain vision conditions make use of visionOS’ accessibility features, so that, instead of using their eyes, they can control the device with their head, fingers or voice.
