Solve For Tomorrow, Samsung’s global corporate citizenship program, registered a 28.4% increase in registrations for its tenth edition in Brazil. Entries closed on July 17th and, on the last 11th, the 20 semifinalists were announced. With a total of 2,348 projects registered, the result made this edition of the program with the highest number of entries since 2014, when the initiative arrived in the country. With general coordination carried out by Cenpec, Solve For Tomorrow is known for encouraging public school students and teachers to create innovative solutions to real demands through the STEM approach (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

In addition to the increase in the number of registered projects, the tenth Brazilian edition of Solve For Tomorrow also recorded a growth of 50.92% in the number of enrolled students, and 20.83% in the number of participating schools compared to the previous edition, held in 2022. Teams from all Brazilian states signed up for the current edition of the program.

“The tenth and current edition of Solve For Tomorrow in Brazil is already historic. Obtaining such significant results in the first stage of the program reinforces the importance of the initiative in contributing to the advancement of the educational system in the country”, says Anna Karina Pinto, Director of Corporate Marketing at Samsung Brasil. “For Samsung, this increase is a reason for great pride and celebration, as we aim, at a global level, to support future generations to reach their maximum potential through education, innovation and technology, following our global vision of Social Responsibility: ‘Together for Tomorrow! Enabling People”, he concludes.

“The numbers indicate a growing interest in the Solve for Tomorrow Brasil proposal, which encourages the connection between the school’s contents, the students’ reality and the contexts of each territory”, says Beatriz Cortese, Executive Director of Cenpec. “In addition, by offering and increasing its training actions year after year – with mentorship, free materials and meetings with teachers, the program expands and strengthens its commitment to quality public education with equity”.
