After intense face-to-face and virtual meetings, the Recruitment Manager of Swiss Medical Medicina Privada, Claudio Segarraand the president of the Salta Obstetrics and Gynecology Society, Dr. Oscar Mulki, agreed to a general update of fees, with particularities in the different subspecialties, from obstetric ultrasounds to deliveries, gynecological surgeries, laparoscopy, etc. “Agreeing on the continuity of service is satisfactory for all parties, but especially for doctors who are involved with the needs and problems of each patient. We have a defined vocation and a career dedicated to service, but we need the different companies and social works to value it accordingly”, considered Oscar Mulki. Likewise, and given the inflationary scenario, it was established that during March 2023 there will be new meetings in order to determine periodic updates in the remunerations and thus guarantee the normal attention of the patients of the social work.
The agreement reached has already been transferred to the Círculo Médico de Salta as an intermediate organization, and for the purposes of administratively resolving the 185 resignations that had been submitted by gynecologists and obstetricians. Meanwhile, negotiations continue with OSDE, Galeano and other social works, in order to achieve the expected recomposition of fees.
The massive resignation was presented on November 7 before the Salta Medical Circle, which is the entity that has the agreement with the aforementioned prepaid, with the warning that the cutoff would take place from the 8th of this month.
It should be noted that the national government authorized nine increases in prepaid prices this year, reaching a total of 114% increase; percentage well above inflation, with Swiss Medical being the second largest prepaid in the country.
