Miami, Jan 30 (EFE).- The Mexican singer Marco Antonio Solís, winner of five Latin Grammy awards, told EFE on Monday that he does not believe that songs with lyrics of sexual content will last as long as romantic ones and assures that, Although her career is consolidated, she is not “conformist” and always seeks to innovate.
“Romantic songs are timeless, they last forever. I have found a lot of youth, 20 or 21-year-olds who love a song I wrote 40 years ago,” he said during an interview on board a yacht moored at a dock. from Bayside Park, in downtown Miami.
On the contrary, he believes that songs with explicit sexual content are “a fashion, a current language” and will pass like other fashions he has seen throughout his successful career.
Solís announced this Monday in Miami the world tour “El Buki”, which will start in San José (California, USA) on March 3.
ON TOUR AGAIN
A month earlier, on February 3, tickets will go on sale for the more than 40 concerts scheduled from March 3 to October 15 not only in the United States, but also in Mexico, Switzerland, Spain, and Canada.

Then it will continue through Mexico from April 21 to May 27, with stops in the cities of Mexicali, Valle de Guadalupe, Cuernavaca, Acapulco, Pachuca, Penjamo, Toluca, Querétaro, Oaxaca and Puebla.
On July 8 it will be presented in Lausanne (Switzerland) and later in Alicante, Marbella, Barcelona and Madrid, in Spain.
He will return to the US once more from August 12, with concerts in Los Angeles, Palm Desert, Phoenix, Kennewick, Tacoma, San Diego, Sacramento, Tucson, El Paso, Las Vegas, Washington DC, Newark, Nashville and Chicago (October 15), and two concerts in between in Canada (Toronto and Montreal).
LOVE, A FUNDAMENTAL ENERGY
Known for his romantic songs that unite different generations, Solís says that love is a “fundamental energy” that “will never stop” inspiring music.
“Love is always there, present and someone discovers it in their moment of joy,” he said.
According to Marco Antonio Solís, innovation never ends for the artist either.
“Every day there is something new. Now I am making a new production that I started regarding a year ago and that has other things that I did not dare (to do). Melodically and in rhythm they have something different,” he says during the interview.
“No, I’m not a conformist, I’m not one to stay calm and continue doing the same thing because it works, because I have a good result. I’m not one to be of that philosophy. I always like to explore a little more,” he concludes.
After the separation of Los Bukis in 1996, Marco Antonio Solís launched himself as a soloist and currently has more than 16 albums that have earned him, in addition to five Latin Grammys, six Grammy nominations.
