Solidarity Income it was initially designed to operate for three months. Through the Social Investment Law approved by Congress, and sanctioned by President Iván Duque, Social Prosperity continues to execute the program until 2022.
In this sense, the Social Investment Law increased the coverage of the program, going from 3 million to 4 million 85 thousand beneficiary households, as of March and April of this year.
That fact means that the program will prioritize registered households in extreme poverty in Sisbén IV (Group A). This targeting will allow at least 30% of the households that enter to be women. 64.13% of households that already receive the cash transfer are represented by women heads of household.
In this context, we explain when they pay and who are beneficiaries to the cumulative cycles from 2020 to 2021.
Through the official channels of the Colombian social program, they explain that “The accumulated Solidarity Income payments for 2020 and 2021 will be made in stages, that is, they will not start at the same time throughout the country. When will the next payment be made?
The next payment of $380,000 will be made in the following month, corresponding to May and June.
On the other hand, it should be noted that from July the subsidies will have differential amounts which will depend on the number of inhabitants of the registered household and the category to which they belong in the SISBÉN IV.
According to Social Prosperity, payments will be made as follows:
- Family in category group A with 1 inhabitant will receive $400,000
- Group B family with 1 inhabitant will receive $396,000
- Group A family with 2 inhabitants will receive $440,000
- Family group with 2 inhabitants will receive $396,000
- Group A family with 3 inhabitants $480,000
- Group B family with 3 inhabitants $412,000
- Families with 4 or more inhabitants that belong to group A will receive $520,000 and those in group B $428,000.
For their part, the beneficiaries who are in the Sisbén group C category, regardless of the number of household inhabitants, they will continue to receive $380,000 every two months.
