In addition to its Solidarity Fridge project, the Cégep de Trois-Rivières is setting up solidarity pantries this year to offer non-perishable foods.
The Cégep de Trois-Rivières is implementing several initiatives for the well-being of its student community. The Solidarity Fridge project allows staff members and event organizers at the college to place cooked meals or surplus food in fridges identified and positioned in the two pavilions.
“For us, it is important to be kind to our students. This project not only allows us to offer food to our students, sometimes in need, but also to reduce food waste, one more step in our eco-responsible initiatives,” explains Caroline Lachance, assistant director of studies and student life. (SP)
