Soldier raises middle finger against Russia | Russia | Ukraine

Kyiv: Ukraine has issued a postage stamp in honor of soldiers who defended themselves on Serpent Island during Russia’s occupation of Ukraine.

The winning design in an online competition conducted by the Ukrainian Postal Service will be stamped. The stamp depicts a Ukrainian soldier holding a ‘middle finger’ once morest a Russian military ship. The first model was designed by Boris Grove, a designer from Lviv, Ukraine.

The Russian warship had asked the soldiers on Serpent Island to surrender during the attack. Ukrainian troops reportedly reportedly made obscene gestures in defiance of Russian threats. Earlier, it was reported that Russia had killed 13 soldiers who refused to surrender. But rumors are circulating that the soldiers were not killed and that Russia is holding them captive.
