Due to their functional characteristics, light weight, durability and relatively low cost, they are widely used in various industrial sectors, such as packaging, automobile industry and agriculture, to name a few. just a few. It is estimated that less than 9% of plastic waste produced has been recycled, and less than 12% has been incinerated. The rest, around 5 billion tonnes over the period from 1950 to 2015, was either buried in landfills or abandoned in the natural environment.
