A Softex Amazoniacoordinator of the Priority Program for the Promotion of Innovative Entrepreneurship (PPEI) in partnership with the Manaus Free Trade Zone Superintendence (Suframa), will be present at the Expo Amazônia Bio & ICT. The meeting will take place on the 4th, 5th and 6th of November, at Studio 5 Shopping e Convenções, in Manaus.
Since its first edition in 2022, Expo Amazônia Bio & TIC has had the mission of strengthening the Bioeconomy and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) hubs as sustainable economic vectors for the region, promoting the socioeconomic development of the Amazon while preserving its biodiversity.
The event program will be divided into three tracks: Entrepreneurship, Bioeconomy & Biotechnology and Information and Communication Technology. On November 5th, from 5:20 pm to 6:00 pm, Emanuela Dias, coordinator of Softex Amazônia, will participate as a speaker in the Entrepreneurship – Creating a Startup track, presenting the lecture “Priority Program for Promoting Innovative Entrepreneurship” as a line of promotion for startups .
“Expo Amazônia represents an opportunity to explore the immense potential of the Northern Region as a cradle of innovative businesses. This event not only facilitates the exchange of experiences and networking, but is also a significant step towards the economic development of the Amazon. With the goal of transforming the Western Amazon and Amapá into a hub for entrepreneurship and innovation, we seek to create sustainable opportunities that value local vocations and talents. By driving innovation and economic and social development, we are committed to generating a long-term positive impact”, says Emanuela Dias.
Over the last five years, Softex’s PPEI mobilized 21 companies benefiting from Law 8,387/1991, which invested more than R$70 million in Research and Development (R&D) initiatives. 44 projects were carried out in 4 regions, serving 258 startups in the region, involving 70 actors from the innovation ecosystem and impacting more than 7.7 million people.
