Regarding the rise in prices of the rest of the basic products, Mr. Baitas said that a distinction should be made between the local product whose price is always stable and the imported products, which are subject, he said. , fluctuations in the international market.
According to him, the measures taken by the government in terms of limiting exports, control in wholesale outlets and dialogue with professionals, have made it possible to reduce the prices of a set of basic necessities, particularly vegetables, the prices of which are currently stable and are even tending to fall.
On the other hand, he added, imported products are generally subject to fluctuations in the international market, pointing out, in this regard, that the government is committed to closely monitoring the price trends of these products.
