“Soft Power”… The opening of a nursing home for artists in Egypt

In a new step of its kind, Dr. Ashraf Zaki, the Syndicate of Actors in Egypt, announced the opening of a nursing home for members of the Syndicate of Representative Professions in the 6th of October City, today, Tuesday, at noon.

The artist, Liqaa Sweidan, published a video clip on her page on the photo-sharing site “Instagram”, of the last preparations for the house before the expected opening.

Zaki explained, during a television interview, that the idea had been with all artists for a long time, and that the house would be for the soft power in Egypt, and they are the artists.

The opening ceremony will be held today in the presence of Abdullah Al Owais, acting on behalf of Sheikh Sultan Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, one of the main donors to the house, and a large number of artists.

Zaki pointed out that the house, whose equipment has been fully completed, accommodates 40 people, pointing out that during the ceremony, the artist Ashraf Abdel Ghafour, the former head of the Actors Syndicate, and the artist Muhammad Abu Dawoud will be honored, concluding that the nursing home is a step among the dreams and aspirations of the Actors Syndicate.

It is noteworthy that Ashraf Zaki returned to the position of captain of the acting professions in the middle of 2015 in the elections in its regular session, following his resignation from his post years.
