Do you remember the cozy weekend event that Shairit Biran and I did regarding a year ago at her studio in Jaffa? Because we think it’s time to meet once more.
This time we call him soft life (because language creates reality) and whoever and whatever we chose to spend these two days with us fits the definition.
The key word will be mysa – named following the Swedish version of the Danish thinker. Trying to define what mysa is, I came to a website that explained (in a free translation) that there is no single word to describe this concept: it’s a feeling. It’s heat. It’s a cuddle. It’s being together. Being together is exactly the medicine these days.
Let’s start with the question of where and when and continue from there to the question of what:
When: In two weeks, Friday and Saturday, 29-30/3 at 10:00-16:00.
where: At Studio NoW of Irit in Ben Gamliel 2 in Jaffa. There are several nearby parking lots, but I prefer the station parking lot, which is a 9-minute walk away (NIS 24 for the whole day) and helps with the daily step count.
Irit’s studio is one of the places I go to when I want to feel abroad but also feel the most Israeli/creative/optimistic there is.
I didn’t just ask her to agree that I would work from her studio once a week, it’s an inspiring place.

So what will be there? Get ready for an overflow of beautiful things:
Items from the brand’s spring collection plan b which focuses on quality basics that are always needed in the closet. As in the previous event, this time too items that I have chosen from this collection will arrive in Jaffa, ones that can join the wardrobe and enter immediately, for daily shifts.
>>>
A good opportunity to meet up close the joint collection of the observer and mine. And it is clear thatMaya Sapir (The observer) will be there with her excellent understanding and taste, for those who need help (you can say that this is the launch event of our collection).
>>>
Kim Dror mKimka Studio Come with a variety of items from her multi-seasonal collection. For those of you who somehow don’t already know Asper Sakim works with natural fabrics (linen, silk, denim, cotton) collected around the world, all suitable for the local climate and made with traditional textile techniques such as indigo dyeing, embroidery and hand weaving. The brand does not have a point of sale in Tel Aviv at the moment (the studio in Ein Hod) so this is a good opportunity to meet this blue magic up close.
>>>
Scandinavian items we collected from Idana (isn’t it enough to look at the pictures to breathe deeper?) will be, among other things: candles, soaps, diffuser scents (all from the Finnish brand HETKINEN) and even ready-made sets of the ingenious String shelves (String’s shelves star in Irit’s studio ).
>>>
The ceramics of Studio NoWfor the holiday and spring, including a tool for making matcha (my personal obsession) and a lot of mugs to drink whatever you want in them (by the way, in the left picture below you can recognize string cups).
>>>
on the walls An artist wall number 6 with the artist Anna Lukaszewski will be displayed (arriving at the event will count as a visit to the gallery!).
>>>
And more in the atmosphere sector:
A pop-up will be set up on the top floor for two days cozy cafe Under the direction of chef Itai Vanon, who, like us, loves his Scandinavian cafes (although he spent the last few months in reserve). The mysa poster is here for illustration only, it lives on etsy.
in the background: Live DJ Yaer Kerat and surroundings will also have flowers, books (poetry and Zen books that we have chosen one by one) and wine to take home.
In short, come on. Come buy things for the holiday, drink coffee, eat something small, see some art, breathe air. One of them or all of them together.
>>>
In the meantime, I board a flight with a playlist that enjoys the name support (here it is). This song stars there:
Smile at me and don’t heal
This is no time to give up
Doesn’t matter
Wherever you go, I’m with you
