BANGUN Pagi Pictures released the official poster for the horror film entitled Sofi’s Story. This film, directed by Ivan Bandhito, is ready to be released in 2024.
Sofi’s story tells the story of a character named Sofi and her four siblings who experience a tragic incident while on holiday in their hometown. The negligent act of one of them leads to a haunting terror and mystery that they must solve in the midst of raging personal conflicts and their reconciliation as a family.
This film poster shows a woman covered in blood and carrying a battered doll with the tagline “Why did you leave me?” as part of a sneak peek behind the terror of the film Sofi’s Story.
The combination of dark colors and dramatic orange lighting creates a tense atmosphere while arousing the audience’s curiosity regarding what the story is regarding in the film Sofi’s Story.
Executive producer of Sofi’s Story, Jonathan HM, conveyed that the main strength of the film Sofi’s Story, apart from the eerie ghost figure, is also the addition of the mystery that is finally revealed behind the haunting terror in this film.
Ivan Bandhito said that the film Sofi’s Story appeared in the midst of an onslaught of horror genre films in Indonesia which are synonymous with village settings and religion as a moral identity, which is something that is not easy to fight.

“However, I believe that in any film genre there must be subtitles with different styles, so that the understanding of a film genre is not narrow,” said Ivan, in his statement, Friday (5/4).
He added that many horror genres also use sub-sections such as comedy horror, romance horror, thriller horror, psychological horror. Sofi’s story invites the audience to enter an eternal event where reason and logic need to be used to enjoy it.
The film Sofi Stories features a number of young film actors such as Joshua Suherman, Annette Edoarda, Sarah Beatrix, Naura Hakim, and Irsyadillah. This film is also supported by senior stars, namely Roweina Umboh, Ferry Salim and Egi Fedly. Julian Kunto Apart from that, there is also a cameo character played by Natasha Germania.
