Sofar Solar and Bold Energy open plant in SC

At the end of September, the distributor Bold Energy, in partnership with Sofar Solar, it opened a plant with a capacity of 452 kWp in Irati (SC). The project included the installation of four 75 kW inverters manufactured by Sofar and 800 bifacial panels with a power of 540 W supplied by JA Solar. The industry must serve around 250 customers.

Sofar Solar, a company in the field of photovoltaic solutions and energy storage, has been active in the transition to renewable energy sources. Its portfolio includes photovoltaic inverters ranging from 1 kW to 350 kW, as well as hybrid inverters with capacities from 3 kW to 125 kW. Additionally, the company offers batteries, utility energy storage systems, microinverters and Sofar Monitor, an energy management system designed for residential, commercial, industrial and large-scale applications.

Bold Energy acts as a supplier of photovoltaic systems, offering training and equipment related to the solar segment – ​​its team has more than 8 years of experience in the area.

According to Sofar Solar’s commercial manager, Eduardo Fróes, this business model, popularly known as “Investment Plant”, has been gaining strength in regions where cooperatives have a high demand for energy due to the origin of their businesses and are constantly looking for energy alternatives. more viable, sustainable and with low environmental impact for the rural setting where its properties are located.

“Once potential consumers have been identified, solar plants in GD, such as Irati in Santa Catarina, will be made viable by investors who will offer a more attractive energy value to members of a cooperative”, says Fróes, highlighting that, in this way , “cooperative members can enjoy an energy tariff between 8% and 20% below the local energy concessionaire, depending on the tariff flag in force”.

The commercial manager adds that this business model is currently made possible by companies that manage and sell energy, such as Cotesa. “The company is responsible for the entire contractual part between investors and cooperative members and, in addition, manages the purchase and sale of energy generated in the investment plants”, he states.
