Apparently no more “Söder Kebab” for the time being: the CSU boss revealed to a tabloid what he is now doing for his body.
Munich – Under #söderisst, people are used to more hearty and meaty dishes from the CSU boss. His most recent food entry on Instagram but goes like this: “#söderisst also light and healthy: smoked salmon with a large baked potato and quark.” Bavaria’s Prime Minister is currently changing his diet. He now told the newspaper that he started a fitness program in August that also included “simply eating less and eating healthy.” Bild.
Savior of Leberkäs? Söder castigates the Greens’ “increasing price strategy” for meat
Smoked salmon probably has less fat than liver cheese, which is generally considered to be beneficial for health. In February, Markus Söder called for the “Leberkäs” to be “saved” from a planned animal welfare levy from Agriculture Minister Cem Özdemir (Greens). On the occasion, he castigated an alleged Green Party “strategy to increase the price” of meat, and in May he endorsed the “Bavaria diet” with pork knuckle.
Inspired by the poll high: Söder pushes past Merz on the K question
Is the reason for Söder’s (presumed) switch from Leberkäs to smoked salmon his now announced ambitions to become Chancellor? The current incumbent Olaf Scholz (SPD) is known to jog on vacation. Söder recently said ZDF on the K question in the Union, he was willing to replace the traffic light coalition, “I am ready to do that, whether as prime minister or candidate for chancellor.” Shortly before, CDU leader Friedrich Merz had reiterated the need for a joint proposal with the CSU for the candidacy for chancellor.

Before changing his diet: CSU boss Söder eats kebab with Insta followers
Southern Bild-Conversation sounds as if the CSU boss last ate kebab in July. That month he invited selected followers of his Instagram account to the grilled meat (which is considered unhealthy compared to smoked salmon). In a Giesinger snack bar he also directly called for a “kebab price cap”.
The free dinner was preceded by a raffle with which Söder wanted to thank his 500,000 Insta followers. He now has thousands more followers. All winners also received a T-shirt with “Söder Kebab” printed on it. Söder regularly shares photos of his meals on Instagram and has established the hashtag #söderißt. Here is a selection of Söder’s previous meals in 17 pictures. (frs)
