The leader of the opposition, Rui Rio, of the Social Democratic Party (PSD, centre-right), would move in a range of between 26 and 31%, according to these surveys, which place abstention between 45 and 49%, for below the previous legislation.

The legislative elections in Portugal, an electoral advance forced by the failure of the last Socialist Budget, concluded at 8:00 p.m. local time (7:00 p.m. GMT) with the closing of the polling stations in the Azores archipelago.
