On April 24, 2024 the Social Security Administration (SSA) made the last payment of the month for this assistance program. Every week, this government agency sends millions of checks to diverse beneficiaries, ranging from retired workers to people with disabilities, most of whom are part of the Supplemental Income Insurance (SSI).
The payment method of this social help is determined according to the birthdate. Beneficiaries born between the 1st and 10th of the month will have their income reflected on second wednesday of the month. Those born between the 11th and the 20th will receive funds on third wednesdaywhile those born between the 21st and the 31st will get their transfers on last wednesday of the month.
However, there are exceptions for those who retired before May and beneficiaries of the SSIsince they receive their payments at the beginning of the month, regardless of their date of birth.
The exact amount of money each beneficiary will receive depends on their individual situation. The SSA evaluates factors such as work history, monthly salary and taxes paid to Social Security during your working life.
Following this criterion and the established payment schedule, people will receive a payment of U$D 1,900 this Wednesday, April 24. These are the beneficiaries born between the 11th and 20th of any monthand with this payment the disbursements corresponding to April will be completed.
SSA Check Payment Schedule for May
The SSA has already established the schedule for next month (May), which will be distributed as follows:
- Wednesday, May 1: SSI Beneficiaries
- Friday 3: Beneficiaries who began receiving payments before May 1997
- Wednesday the 8th: Beneficiaries born between the 1st and the 10th
- Wednesday the 15th: Beneficiaries born between the 11th and the 20th
- Wednesday the 22nd: Beneficiaries born between the 21st and the 31st
- Friday the 31st: SSI beneficiaries (payment corresponding to June)
