Last Wednesday, the Electoral Service (Servel) issued the resolution of the official registration of the Social Green Regionalist Federation, as a political party that will be established in the Ñuble Region.
The conglomerate was formed in 2017, following the union of four regional parties. After seven years, the Federation arrives in Ñuble, one of the last regions to incorporate it into the Registry of Political Parties.
With this resolution, the party can begin the registration of candidates for the various future elections that will take place in the region, with a view, mainly, to the regional governor election, which will take place next October.
Other elections that they can apply for are those for councillors, mayors, as well as regional councillors. Currently, at the national level, the party has 10 direct representatives divided into the positions of senator, deputy, mayors and regional councilors. Likewise, it has 51 councilors including militants and independents supported by the party.
The regional president of the Federation in Ñuble, Juan Salvador Ramírez, highlighted this resolution, and stated that regarding 523 signatures validated by Servel were obtained.
“Between the months of August and October of last year, an important territorial deployment was made in the Ñuble Region, reaching a total of 523 signatures, which have been confirmed and validated by the Electoral Service of our country. This makes us extremely happy, because we take another look at how to create politics in such difficult times, as well as the development that the poorest region of Chile should have,” he stated.
The party had 52 members in the region before registration, which, added to the 471 accredited membership applications, gives a total of 523 members.
Ramírez called on all those who want to join the party to be able to register and join this new political coalition formed by Ñuble.
“We invite all those who want to join the party as militants or also as independents, we are going to provide a space, with a fresh and new alternative, along with experience.”
The president also indicated that they will participate in the next elections, indicating that “we want to bring that experience to the next election, both for governor, regional councilors, mayors and councilors.”
“It is an invitation that we make on behalf of the Green Regionalist Party, which is already legally registered in the Ñuble region and that also mandates us to have another look at how we are going to carry out the development of our region,” he concluded.
