‘Soccer’ Kane vs ‘Swimming’ Phelps… play golf

Clash at Icon Series Golf where sports stars will compete tomorrow

England national football team player Harry Kane (pictured left) and Michael Phelps (right), the American-born ‘swimmer’, clash. The superiority is judged on the golf course, not on the soccer field or swimming pool.

The Icon Series Golf will be held on the 1st and 2nd of next month at Liberty National Golf Club in New Jersey, USA. An event in which 24 sports stars from the United States and countries other than the United States play golf once morest each other. The US team is captained by Fred Couples, and the non-US team (ROW) is captained by Ernie Els (South Africa). Icon series is similar to Ryder Cup in golf.

The US team consisted of Phelps and the famous pitcher John Smoltz, who dominated the major leagues. In ROW, Kane and Josef Guardiola (Spain), Manchester United manager, and Ashley Barty (Australia), who won the Australian Open women’s singles in January last year, will participate. Kane and Phelps are the most interesting. Kane’s love for golf is unparalleled. Kane, who works with Son Heung-min at Tottenham Hotspur, was baptized on camera in the United States, not England, in April when the English Premier League was in full swing. He spent a day watching the final four rounds of the Masters, a major event on the American Professional Golf (PGA) Tour. Kane is known to have outstanding golf skills, recording an under par in 2018.

Phelps holds the record for the most gold medals and medals at the Olympics with 28 medals (3 silver, 2 bronze), including 23 gold medals. Phelps invested a lot of time and attention in golf, including taking lessons from the coach of Tiger Woods (USA), the ‘golf emperor’. He also made friends with professional golfers such as Jon Lam (Spain) by frequently participating in pro-am and celebrity golf tournaments.

Barty of ROW is considered a dark horse. A rare player who retired as the world No. 1 player. He won the Australian Open, the first major of the tennis season, but retired last March. His father was from the Australian national golf team. Barty, influenced by his father, has been playing golf since a young age, and his skills are good enough to win the Australian regional golf tournament.
