Former YB and national team doctor deceased
Urs Vogel, former team doctor of the Swiss national team and the Bernese Young Boys, is dead.
Former YB and Nati team doctor Urs Vogel died at the age of 85.
The former club doctor of the Bern Young Boys, Urs Vogel, has died at the age of 85.
Urs Vogel looked following the Young Boys for years. Among other things, during the championship year 1986 and the cup victories in 1977 and 1987. The Swiss Football Association also benefited from Vogel’s expertise and experience. Vogel was the team doctor for the Swiss national team for many years.
Vogel has now passed away following a short illness at the age of 85. In a media release, the people of Bern are dismayed and express their “heartfelt condolences” to the bereaved family. (hon)
