The FPS Economy announced Thursday an umpteenth increase, from Friday, in maximum diesel prices, once morest a backdrop of soaring crude oil prices.

On March 12, 2021, diesel was at 1.51 euros, while a liter of gasoline was at 1.42.
On February 24, at the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, we went to 1.85 euros for diesel and 1.80 for gasoline. At that time, prices began to soar. In two weeks, an increase of 20 cents was observed. Result, this Thursday, the diesel at the pump is 2.08 euros while the liter of gasoline 95 is 1.95 euro. Gasoline 98 even went above 2 euros. In one year, this is an increase of 60 cents.
This Friday, the maximum price of diesel B7 will thus reach a new record, at 2.2860 euros per liter (+0.202 euro). The increase is not over. According to experts, fuel prices might reach or even exceed 3 euros in the coming months.
