Amazon Prime with discount: These customers only pay 4.49 euros per month

But Amazon can now also pay for all of this. The Prime subscription costs a whopping 89.90 euros per year. Arithmetically, that’s 7.49 euros for a one-year bond. Alternatively, you can also book and cancel Amazon Prime monthly and then pay 8.99 euros per month. But what hardly anyone knows: It is even cheaper – for 4.49 euros. But to curb the euphoria directly: The target group for this subscription is limited.

With the discounted Prime subscription, Amazon is targeting those users who are exempt from broadcasting fees. According to the ARD and ZDF contribution service, there were 2.49 million people in 2021. 1.6 million of them were exempt from the so-called GEZ as recipients of social benefit or unemployment benefit II. In addition, there are more than 600,000 people who are exempt due to reduced earning capacity or basic security in old age. They all get Amazon Prime for 4.49 euros per month.

The booking is possible via the normal Prime page. However, you must then provide proof that you are entitled to the discount. You can submit a current notification of the exemption from broadcasting fees.
