Snowstorm to reach New York and more than 10 states next week

A blizzard in the northeastern United States will affect more than 10 entitiessome with severe accumulations of snow, but others perhaps with sleet, low temperatures, rain and strong winds.

The states Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, Maine, Connecticut, Ohio, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Vermont are among those with the greatest impact.

According to The Weather Channel report, the forecasts are early for some entitiessince the greatest impacts of the storm will be felt from Tuesday and Wednesday, so the consequences might vary.

However, in North Dakota, strong winds and rain were reported Saturday followingnoon, forcing even the closure of highways, including Interstate 94.

“For now, the most likely area of heavy snowfall is found in parts of western and northern New England to northern and central New York state,” the report states.

“Snow amounts can drop dramatically as you approach the immediate corridor of Interstate 95 from downtown Boston to New York City, where at least some rain is expected ”, it is added.

The report insists that there might be changes in the forecast in the following days, that is, starting on Wednesday.

Last week, New York City had a minimal snowfall early Tuesday morning, leading to cooler temperatures, but overall the Big Apple has had a winter considered “mild” with days of “surprisingly cold.”
