The second round of the Snowboard and Halfpipe World Cup was held in the United States on the 8th, and the men’s silver medal Ayumu Hirano won the championship for the first time this season for the second consecutive Olympic Games.

Snowboard halfpipes compete for the height and difficulty of acting in the air with a jump called “air” while sliding on a course in the shape of a half cylinder.
The second round of this season was held in California, USA on the 8th, and the boys passed the qualifying round, including Yuto Totsuka, who won the world championship last season, and Hirano, who won the silver medal for the second consecutive Olympic tournament. The final was held with 12 people.
Of these, Hirano was unable to improve his score by falling in the first time, but in the second time he decided on difficult techniques one following another with the highly characteristic air and marked a high score of 95.80 this season. I won my first victory.
Hirano has participated in the skateboarding of the Tokyo Olympics in the summer as a dual wield, so this is the first victory in four seasons since December 2017.
In second place was 19-year-old Ruka Hirano, who won the first race of the season.
As for the girls, 20-year-old Ruki Tomita marked 89.40 with almost perfect performance for the second time, and won the first victory in the third season following participating in the World Cup.
Tomita’s older sister, Sena, who finished second in the first race of the season, came in third, and all of her sisters stood on the podium.
