Hi Séverine! We will have to monitor this Sunday where a small potential for snow is present. A disturbance will bump once morest the cold air firmly in place. The risk of snow will increase as the morning progresses and it will not be impossible to see flakes falling during the race since the west of the country will be hit first. A small layer might form on the ground and you will need to be careful and cover yourself well. Temperatures hovering around 0°C and a fairly strong southerly wind which will make it feel freezing. A slight warm spell is expected in the followingnoon, but in gloomy conditions and a snow/rain transition with maximums of 2 to 4°C. We hope a turnaround in the situation is still possible on D-2. Happy racing to you!
And regarding the rest of the country this Saturday?
We should start this day under a fairly overcast sky with one or another snowfall over the southeast. A shower at the coast, then clearings managing to break through this layer of clouds a little more quickly than the day before. The gaps should arrive at the end of the morning in Hainaut-Brabants as far as Namurois, or even early in the followingnoon in the east. Temperatures will have difficulty rising and it will not thaw east of the Tournai-Brussels line.
Indeed, the weak to moderate westerly wind will blow in softer air and the 0°C isotherm will rise towards 250-300 m. Basically, we will not pass 0°C in the south of the country with -4°C on the summits, 0°C in Namur or Charleroi, 1°C in Mons and 2-3°C in Flanders and the coast. Sky-wise, nice clearings in the south and cloudier but dry in the plains with another shower at sea. In the evening, it will drop once more thanks to clearings.
