Snow and strong winds will start in Vladivostok on Tuesday night

In Vladivostok, according to weather forecasts, on the evening of February 14, snow will begin and a strong wind will rise. The storm will last until Wednesday, February 16th. Motorists are asked to refrain from traveling by private transport if possible.

How informs the administration of Vladivostok, road and utility services are ready for the upcoming bad weather. Operational teams have been formed, stocks of fuel and lubricants and anti-icing materials have been made. Snow removal equipment and workers were assigned to each district. Sidewalks, stairs and passages will also be cleaned by commercial organizations with which the mayor’s office has concluded relevant contracts.

“Pedestrians are asked to be careful and careful when moving during bad weather, and motorists should, if possible, refrain from traveling,” the Unified Dispatching Service on Duty notes. Vladivostok residents are asked to report all violations in the work of the municipal economy to the EDDS by phone: 2222-333.

In the government of Primorsky Krai addthat Primavtodor switched to round-the-clock operation. Road workers procure anti-icing materials, fuel, check the technical condition of cars.

“By the evening, it is necessary to put the equipment in front of dangerous areas and on the passes. Directors should stock up on fuel and provide food for employees in case of road closures,” said Alexey Shirshov, General Director of Primavtodor JSC.

According to the ministries of housing and communal services, energy and gas supply, during the period of bad weather, emergency teams are also being strengthened, the number of employees and highly passable equipment is increasing.

Forecasters remind that it will snow all Tuesday and end only on Wednesday. Precipitation will be accompanied by northern wind gusts up to 24 m/s. The height of the snow cover will be from 10 to 20 cm.
