Snoop Dogg lives the Olympics. They pay him half a million dollars a day for it

The popular musician was sent to Paris by the NBC television station in order to increase the viewership of the Olympic broadcasts in the USA. According to Sports Illustrated magazine, Snoop Dogg collects a fee of half a million dollars (11.5 million crowns) per day plus expenses. He will leave the Olympics eight million dollars (184 million crowns) richer.

According to the German newspaper Bild, he has also been promised bonuses for achieving a certain viewership, which apparently also increased significantly thanks to him. It was up 79 percent from last summer’s games in Tokyo, averaging 34 million viewers.

The 52-year-old rapper, who has tens of millions of followers on social networks, has already managed to watch competitions in horse riding, women’s football, athletics, swimming and beach volleyball. In the audience, Snoop Dogg attracts attention with outlandish outfits, such as a riding outfit or a bold trick with the words USA and a portrait of beach volleyball player Kelly Cheng.

He doesn’t even seem to be able to sleep. “It’s more about relaxing than sleeping because I enjoy it so much,” he told the AP. “This is not a sleeping town. And here is no time to sleep. There is something going on here day and night. I want to be around everything because I like American athletes and sports. That’s what I’m here for,” Snoop Dogg stated.
