SNEP’s new industrial capacities will go into production from October this year, the leader of the Moroccan market for vinyl products (PVC, Compound PVC) and electrolysis products announced in a press release.

The subsidiary of Ynna Holding indicates that “the start-up tests have started since March 2023 and are going well both in terms of performance and security. Moreover, all the measures have been taken, including the necessary stops for a serene start-up, guaranteeing the safety of people, installations and supplies”.

As far as supplies are concerned, SNEP specifies that “in order to satisfy our customers’ demand during this trial period, SNEP’s stocks have been replenished to cover needs”.

“We have put in place all the necessary procedures to guarantee the start-up of our new installations under the most reinforced security conditions”, continues the same source.

For Rachid Mohammadi, Managing Director of SNEP, quoted in the press release, “this major investment will allow us to move towards products with high added value to improve our competitiveness and ensure sustainable growth for our activities”.

As a reminder, the SNEP capacity extension project should enable the company to increase its PVC production capacity from 90,000 to 120,000 tonnes and from 65,000 to 115,000 tonnes for soda. The objective is to meet growing industrial demand in Morocco.
