“SNCF Celebrates Anniversary of Ouigo Classic Train with €1 Tickets – Limited Time Offer!”

2023-05-19 09:18:49

To celebrate the first anniversary of the “Ouigo classic train” service, the SNCF will be selling tickets for one euro.

It will be necessary to show vivacity, Tuesday, May 23, to hope to win one of the 10,000 tickets at 1 euro offered by the SNCF, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the “Ouigo classic train” service. The opening of sales, which will take place only online, is scheduled for 7 a.m.

These purchases at very low prices will be made directly on the Ouigo site and will only concern journeys planned between May 24 and July 5. As a reminder, Ouigo classic train tickets allow access to trains running at the same speed as TER or Intercités. It is not a TGV.

Rolled out a year ago, the service serves 14 destinations on the Paris-Lyon and Paris-Nantes routes. Some new stations have been added to the network such as Saumur, Angers (Maine-et-Loire), Orléans (Loiret), Mâcon (Saône-et-Loire) or Dijon (Côte-d’Or). These trains also stop at certain stations in the inner and outer suburbs: Juvisy, Massy (Essonne), Versailles Chantiers (Yvelines), Melun (Seine-et-Marne) and Villeneuve-Saint-Georges (Val-de-Marne) .

This anniversary operation will operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Those who are slower will therefore have to settle for the current prices of the classic Ouigo train, from 10 to 49 euros for adults, and 5 euros for children under 12 years old.

According to The Parisian, 1.3 million customers have traveled with the new, slower but lower-cost service since its launch. SNCF also plans to develop the network on new sections, but not before the end of the experiment on the Paris-Lyon and Paris-Nantes axes, scheduled for 2024.
