The Swiss National Bank (SNB) is giving a glimpse of the interior of its main building on the Börsenstrasse in Zurich to mark its 100th anniversary. To mark the anniversary, the currency watchdogs are publishing the book “The Swiss National Bank in Zurich, the Pfister Brothers Building 1922-2022”.
The book documents the architecture and construction history of the building from the planning to the present day. At that time, the architect brothers had a decisive influence on the cityscape of Zurich with their buildings such as the Enge train station and the Suva building.
In addition to reading, the book also offers many illustrations with historical photos, plans and original documents, but also current insights into the office premises. On Thursday evening, the SNB presented the book, which will be available in German and English from September 30th. In the photo gallery you can see a selection of photos.
