The POCO X5 was launched in February 2023 with the processor Snapdragon 695, 8 GB of RAM and a 5000 mAh battery. Its screen is an AMOLED display, 6.67 “in physical size, FullHD resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
Dealing now with the price, the POCO X5, at its launch at least, cost something in the range of R$ 2,900.00, however at the time this video was recorded it is at a much more reasonable value of R$ 1,660.00. Its price on Aliexpress is lower, close to R$ 1,150.00. But considering the possible fees, it ends up not being worth it to import it from China, so if you want a tip, buy from Amazon do Brasil and be happy.
Who will be compared with the POCO X5 during our tests is Samsung’s Galaxy A54. But why this cell phone? Well, both are sold in the same price range, ranging from R$ 1,650.00 to R$ 1,800.00. It is worth mentioning that the two devices follow the same proposal of being a high-level and low-cost intermediary, with a recent launch and similar features.
The POCO X5, as has already been said, is an intermediary, so we will play all the games on today’s list in average graphics.
POCO X5 test in heavy games
Asphalt 9
So we tried to run CarX Street on the POCO X5, but the game didn’t work at all. Right when starting the screen it went black and nothing else happened, a pity. We then moved on to Asphalt 9, where it was possible to test the POCO X5 much more smoothly.
He reached an average of 30 FPS, with a stability of 98%, not delivering any hangs. The average autonomy was 9:45h of battery lifewhich is a rather high number, but we’ll let it go this time.

COD Mobile
In the first fight between the two smartphones in the video, we have COD Mobile. Around here, the POCO X5 performed very well, but a very annoying problem occurred during the entire gameplay and in several other games, I’ll talk regarding it at the end of the tests.
His average frame rate was 59 FPS, with a stability of 95% and an autonomy of 5:55h of battery life.
The A54, like other mid-range Galaxy models we tested this season, did not exceed 40 FPS on average, remaining with 99% stability on average graphics.

Diablo Immortal
Diablo Immortal gives us a sudden turnaround in the performance of the two devices tested, if you turn it on.
POCO X5, as good as it is, failed to deliver a frame rate higher than 30 FPS average, with 100% stability. Its autonomy provided us with high numbers: 7:30h of battery life.
The A54, on the other hand, performed almost perfectly, nailing an average of 59 frames, with 100% stability.

eFootball
In our usual little football, things went exactly as they were supposed to, without any unusual problems.
The POCO X5 boasted in performance with an average of 60 FPS, 100% stability and an autonomy of 8:10h of battery life.
The A54 also established itself in the same performance zone, scoring 60 FPS, with 100% stability in eFootball.

Fortnite
The performance in Fortnite was even tolerable, but it fell into that “limbo” of devices without compatibility with the game. POCO X5 picks up a reasonable frame rate, but it doesn’t allow us to go beyond 30 FPS and also doesn’t let us use the highest graphics.
The average of His FPS was 30, with a minimum of 20giving those typical crashes that Fortnite always gives.
The A54, on the other hand, completely mastered the performance here, scoring an exemplary 54 frames average, with a low of 40.

Free Fire
For those who were already used to POCO devices reaching very high frame rates in Fortnite, we now have a big disappointment to show. The POCO X5 was equally mediocre to the rest of the smartphones we have in the ranking, not surpassing them at all.
A frame rate average 60 FPS certainly not bad, but not something to be desired when the device in question is a POCO. Yours stability was 100%, with 7:40h of battery life.
The A54 also achieved the same high-quality result of 60 FPS, with 100% stability.
✔️The village Flat Wheel✔️ for both smartphones.
Genshin Impact
Taking into account that most of our ranking intermediates didn’t perform well in Genshin Impact, the numbers POCO X5 was acceptable. With a general look, he didn’t ride well. But with a more localized look, targeting only the intermediaries, he was the best of them.
The X5 scored 35 FPS average, with a stability of 92% and autonomy of 5:00 hours duration.
The A54 did not achieve the desired performance, scoring only 27 frames, with a stability of 67%.
⚠️The village Wheels⚠️ for or LITTLE X5.
Mortal Kombat
In Mortal Kombat, where we usually have absurd results and numbers, this time we came out with a lower than expected frame rate.
The X5 was unable to capture a framerate synchronized with the 120Hz of its screen, providing only a average of 89 FPS, with 100% stability. This result is certainly not bad, but know that other mid-range devices have already achieved the feat of getting 120 FPS, so it is strange to say the least that a POCO, a smartphone considerably dedicated to the gamer public, cannot reach it as well. Anyway, your autonomy was 5:35h of duration.
The A54 picked up 82 FPS, with a stability of 99%.
????Competitive Wheel Seal???? for the two tested smartphones.
PUBG
In PUBzinho, as always, we turned on GFX Tools in order to reach higher frame rates and the result between the two had a very interesting disparity, check it out.
The POCO X5, even with the manual adjustment in the GFX to reach 90 FPS, might not overcome the 60 mark, with a stability of 99% and autonomy of 6:10h of battery life.
The A54, on the other hand, went all out and achieved a higher frame rate at the cost of a little stability. There were 83 FPS on average, with 96%.

Tower of Fantasy
In the last game on our list we have one more disappointment: even with the graphics at medium, the POCO X5 failed to achieve a desirable Seal in our test.
With one average of 43 FPS and a stability 78% this little guy provided us with a very “choked” gameplay of Tower of Fantasy, with several crashes and stutterings. Yours autonomy was 4:40h of battery life.
The A54 raised the bar a little, getting an average of 66 FPS, with a stability of 84%.
⚠️The village Wheels⚠️ JUST for or LITTLE X5, really disappointing.
Temperature
We played an hour of COD Mobile to find out how much battery is lost in that period, as well as the temperature of the device’s screen. After that one hour of gameplay, the POCO F5 warmed up ????10°C???? on its surface and lost ????15%???? loading.
Its numbers were good, without extrapolating too much at any point, but what bothered me when testing this device, not only in COD, but in other games as well, was the lack of screen responsiveness. I can’t exactly say if it’s a defect of our specific model, if it’s a manufacturing thing or a software problem, but the fact is that the display of this device takes too long to register my commands in games. This high panel input lag made gameplay very difficult in COD, as it is difficult to aim with the character rotating the camera in this slow and locked way.
Conclusion
The biggest problem with POCO cell phones lately is the high expectations they make us have. The last POCOs of the X line were powerful and satisfying, so we expect, at the very least, good compatibility with games, something that the company itself marketed during the release of the devices. What happens in the X5 is that it simply looks like a Redmi Note 12 by another name, that’s it. POCO X5 brings practically nothing new, it’s just another POCO, it doesn’t have any ace up its sleeve, extra function, superior processing advantage, etc. missing the “seasoning” he knows?
This device is definitely not bad for games, but it will certainly experience difficulties in its performance due to the 600 line processor. I would say that if you have another POCO from the X line and want to buy this little guy here as an upgrade, don’t do it. Wait for a sale and buy an X5 Pro or even an F4. Or go a different route and buy the Galaxy A54 which beat it in our test today.
With that, the POCO X5 will receive a ✔️The village Flat Wheel✔️, VERY EMBARRASSING the Wheel Seal, narrowly escaped. He is currently occupying the second place in our ranking of Roda Liso intermediaries.
