A leak revealed the specifications of a new processor that Qualcomm is working on, which will bear the name of the first generation Snapdragon 6, which is a processor directed at economic and medium phones, but with a 4-nano architecture as in the leading processors.
In recent years, Qualcomm launched 3 processors with 4nm architecture, which are; Snapdragon 8 first generation, 8 Plus first generation, for flagship phones, and 7 first generation for mid-range phones, all of which have attracted attention due to the performance they offer and have become the preferred choice of major companies in their flagship phones.
According to new leaks published by the famous leaker on Twitter Evan Blass, Qualcomm is working on the first processor for medium and economic phones, which will come in the same way as the leading processors, as it will bear the name of the first generation Snapdragon 6, and it is manufactured with the latest 4 nanometer technology from the company.
The leaker indicated that the processor, which will carry model number SM6450, will come with 5G communication technology and provide the advanced 4 Plus charging capacity that the previously mentioned leading processors work with.
The processor will include a Kyro CPU with a frequency of up to 2.2 GHz, while the number of cores it will come with has not been clearly revealed, but it will most likely be 8 performance cores.
The processor also supports the operation of a phone with a screen quality of up to Full HD + and an image refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, and it will also be able to process images taken with a sensor accuracy of up to 108 mega pixels.
The phone, which works with the first generation Snapdragon 6 processor, will also be able to record 4K video at 30 frames per second, and the quality will decrease until it reaches a shooting rate of up to 240 frames per second, which will most likely have a resolution of 720 pixels, which will allow to greatly reduce the operating speed .
The leaker published an image that reveals all the specifications that the first generation Snapdragon 6 will have, while there is no actual information from Qualcomm regarding its upcoming processor, but expectations indicate that it will be revealed alongside the flagship 8 second generation processor in the last quarter of this year.
It is worth noting that the latest leaks confirmed that Qualcomm will hold an event to reveal new processors in Hawaii from November 15-17, when the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor will be launched.
