Snapchat emerged as a rival to TikTok

Now there is another application compared to Tik Tok and that is Snapchat.

Snapchat has added a new section Spotlight to its app that will feature short videos from users.

Well, this isn’t the first time Snapchat has highlighted users’ videos, but it’s certainly the first time Snapchat has given them a prominent place in the app.

And to get the attention of the users, Snapchat is also making a great offer

The company has announced that until the end of this year, it will distribute $1 million per day to people who share the most popular videos for this section.

Snapchat Spotlight is somewhat similar to TikTok and Instagram Reels, such as autoplay vertical videos, switching videos by swiping up or down.

An algorithm will determine which videos will appear on the feed, but they will also be able to surf specific topics.

But Spotlight is a bit different, in that comments won’t be allowed and the names of most video creators will not appear, unless the video creator has a public profile (not most Snapchat users).

Simply put, videos in Spotlight will appear without a name or account.

But the most attractive thing for the customers will be the money offered by the company.

The company did not specify how much a user would be paid, saying only that payments would be made based on a formula based on unique video views.

Whether this trend will continue following the end of the year is also not clear from the company.

Over the long term, Snapchat will add ads to Spotlight, so it can be expected that users will be paid through revenue sharing in the traditional way.
