On the flight from Hanoi to Can Tho, a female passenger from Hau Giang province smoked an e-cigarette right at the plane.
On the followingnoon of January 17, the leader of the Southern Airport Authority in Can Tho confirmed that he had just issued a decision to sanction an administrative violation of a female passenger who smoked an e-cigarette on an aircraft.
Specifically, on the evening flight 15-1 from Hanoi to Can Tho, female passenger HTM (19 years old, hometown Hau Giang) smoked an e-cigarette right on the plane with the witness of other passengers.
When detecting the incident, the flight attendant on the flight reported to the captain and proceeded to make a record of administrative violations.
Pursuant to Point a, Clause 2, Article 8 of Decree 162/2018 on administrative sanctions in the field of civil aviation, the Southern Airport Authority decided to impose a fine of four million dong on Ms.
The sanctioned person must pay the fine within 10 days from the date of receiving the sanctioning decision. If they do not voluntarily comply, they will be forced to comply with the provisions of the Law.
Clause 2, Article 8 of Decree 162/2018 on administrative sanctions in the field of civil aviation, stipulates:
A fine of between three million dong and five million dong shall be imposed for one of the following violations:
a) Smoking, including e-cigarettes on board the aircraft.
b) Using electronic devices, transceivers on board aircraft without permission.
c) Damaging the aircraft’s equipment and equipment.
