According to the notification, all kinds of sports, exhibitions and events will be banned while dining in restaurants will also be banned, religious gatherings will be exempted.
Apart from this, medical stores, petrol pumps and grocery stores will be exempted, the orders will be in force from November 11 to November 17.
From November 11, all commercial markets, shops, bazaars and shopping malls will close at 8 pm. Eating outside in restaurants will be prohibited, funeral rites, funeral prayers, burials and related events will also be exempted from the ban.
According to DC Lahore, pharmacy/medical stores, medical facilities, medical laboratories, vaccination centers are exempted from the ban. Petrol pumps, oil depots, ovens, bakeries, grocery/grocery stores, milk shops will not be banned, as well as dairy shops, sweet shops, vegetable/fruit shops, chicken/meat shops are also exempted from the ban.
E-commerce / postal / courier services and utility services (electricity, natural gas, internet, cellular networks / telecom are exempted from the ban.
According to DC Lahore, major departmental stores can only keep their grocery/pharmacy sections open while all other sections will remain closed.
Apart from this, precautionary measures against pollution have also been issued under the Environment Protection Agency, the violation of which will be dealt with under 188 PPC.
Ceremonies inside the marriage halls may continue with strict observance of the old timings, the dining hours in the restaurants will be till 11 pm. Violation of these orders will be punishable under Section 188.
Deputy Commissioner Lahore has appealed to the people to take precautionary measures during smog and said that citizens should avoid going out unnecessarily and make sure to use masks, take precautionary measures to avoid respiratory diseases due to smog. , protect children, elderly and sick people especially from smog, stay indoors and avoid going out during smog, avoid unnecessary use of vehicles and use public transport.
