The standard Matter arrived to make our life easier when buying a smart device or even when changing our home automation system for another one (the Alexa fur HomeKitfor example).
Gradually, companies that adhered to the standard are finally releasing support for it. THE Samsungowner of the automation system SmartThingsis one of the manufacturers engaged in this process.
The official SmartThings app for iOS has been updated with support for the standard, which has already been added to SmartThings hubs and the Android smartphone app since last year.
Now, if you have Matter devices connected to a SmartThings hub and you own an iPhone or an iPad, you can now control them directly from the device — which was not possible until this update.
