Since my attempt to give android a last chance by testing the S22 Ultra, it has definitely convinced me that android is over for me and I notice that it is the case for more and more people
it’s an eternal debate but in the end it’s always the same end: the iPhone remains an iPhone and you can get tired of it, you see the new innovative flagships opposite and you let yourself be tempted, except that once with use and past the excitement, the effect fades and we are overtaken by reality… And soon you’re back on an iPhone. Error committed countless times on my part by thinking each time that this time it was the smartphone that was going to make me forget the iPhone!
When you see that in 2022 you still have lousy autonomy unless you quibble like in 2013 (and which remains mediocre despite that), that there are still things like photos taken via WhatsApp (or other third-party app ) still use a generic API with disgusting quality, apps that still have no consistency between them and manufacturer overlays with duplicate features everywhere, unacceptable camera performance for a flagship supposed to be a 13 PM rival, Samsung that continues to inflate everyone by offering Exynos in Europe while the rest have the “good” snapdragon (failing to specify it on their site), the non-existent resale value, the playstore really poor in games once morest Apple Arcade and other excluded, the performances in the said games which are two to three times less than a 13 PM while it is, once once more, the last ultimate flagship, the root which died with the manufacturer’s restrictions (and which still has urge to do so and compromise its banking apps, among other things anyway?)… Etc, etc, there would be much more to say
In the end, the few handy hacks and features are not worth the headache hours associated with using an android phone and ending up with something that can put you at fault in important moments (single photo, crucial call, battery, …) and this is said following having switched between the two practically since they exist, continuously
