Smart glasses powered by augmented reality allow the hard of hearing to see conversations

British company XRAI Glass has launched smart glasses powered by augmented reality technology, allowing deaf people to see conversations in real time. These glasses are the first of their kind, and initial experiments have shown that they work well and enable deaf people to understand conversations that are taking place around them thanks to their ability to convert speech into text that appears on the lenses of the glasses in front of the eye of the person who wears them. The company says that the capabilities of these glasses are numerous and not only enable deaf and hard of hearing people to see conversations, but can be developed in the future to be able to translate languages.
