Stock prices closed with small gains in today’s session of the Athens Stock Exchange, with the market finally unable to break the zone of 1,320 points, as the initial gains were reduced towards the close of trading, amid an upward movement of the European markets.
The shares of Mytilineos, Quest, OPAP, ELPE and PPA stood out from the high capitalization, while the shares of Motor Oil and Aegean were under pressure.
The General Price Index closed at 1,318.34 points, marking an increase of 0.16%.
Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,324.85 points (+0.65%).
The value of transactions amounted to 90.81 million euros, while 18,013,015 shares were traded.
The large-cap index rose 0.29%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.18%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Quest Participations (+1.63%), Mytileneos (+1.38%), PPA (+1.37%), OPAP (+1. 36%) and of ELPE (+1.34%).
On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Aegean (-1.61%), Motor Oil (-1.53%), Viohalco (-1.42%), Sarantis (-1.26%) and National (-1.03%).
Of the individual indices, the Industrial Products (+1.25%) and Travel (+0.93%) indices recorded the largest increase, while the Health (-1.43%) and Oil (-0.84%).
Piraeus and Eurobank presented the largest volume of transactions, trading 3,654,007 and 3,109,952 shares, respectively.
The highest transaction value was recorded by Terna Energy with 14.74 million euros and Piraeus with 12.06 million euros.
48 stocks moved up, 47 fell and 25 remained stable.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Frigoglass +9.48% and Xylemporia (k) +7.79%.
The biggest drop was registered by the shares: KRI- KRI -3.12% and Unibios -2.81%.
