Hiroshi Inaba to appear at “tiny desk Concert JAPAN”! The legend of the Japanese music scene will appear in the first regular broadcast to start on General TV this fall. Hiroshi Inaba, who released his first solo album in 10 years this year and completed a nationwide tour this summer, will lead the strongest touring members to perform at the tiny desk concert for the first time. The unique singing voice that Japan is proud of will be broadcast to Japan through general television and to the world through the international broadcast “NHK WORLD JAPAN”.
What is a small desktop concert?
NPR (National Public Radio), an American public broadcasting company, has created a worldwide craze by releasing music content online. In 2008, NPR launched a music platform called “Tiny Desk Concerts” on the Internet. Artists performed at the “Tiny Desk in the NPR office”, creating an organic sound and an intimate live atmosphere with a novel concept, which quickly became a popular content in the United States. After the epidemic, it became popular. Its lineup now includes many world-famous names, including Taylor Swift and BTS, and it has become a coveted platform for Japanese artists.
【Japanese Small Desk Concert】
We are producing “Small Desk Concert JAPAN” with Japanese artists with original permission from NPR in the United States. Fujii Kaze first aired the Japanese version in March of this year, and his wonderful performance attracted a lot of attention at home and abroad. After that, regular broadcasts will begin in international broadcasts in May, and General TV’s regular series “Inaba Hiroshi” will also start from this time.
