The Slovenian Tade Bogachar, of the Emirates team, won the 17th stage of the Tour de France, which extended in the Pyrenees for a distance of 130 km between Saint-Gaudens and Berragod, without managing to reduce the difference with the Danish leader Jonas Vinggaard, because the latter finished second at the same time.

The champion of the last two editions of Slovenia, Tadi Bogachar, won the seventeenth stage of the Tour de France, which extended in the Pyrenees for a distance of 130 km between Saint-Gaudens and Berragod, without succeeding in reducing the difference with the Danish leader Jonas Vinggaard, because the latter came second at the same time.
After he was only the second rider to win two stages in the 109th edition of the famous Tour de France alongside Belgian Voet van Aert, Pugachar raised his victories to 3, but the difference between him and Vinggaard was reduced to only 4 seconds, which he received as a bonus granted to the winner of the stage, and became two minutes and 18 seconds before 4 stages at the end of the race.
The 23-year-old Slovenian won his ninth victory in the French Tour, which he is playing for only the third time, in the last meters to surpass Weingegaard and American Brandon McNulty, who finished third, 32 seconds behind the title holder, while Britain’s Geraint Thomas came fourth with a difference of one minute and 7 seconds, which made him fall behind in the standings. The year was 4.56 minutes behind the lead instead of 2.43 minutes.
Colombian Nairo Quintana logically exited the race for his first Tour de France title and the third great following the Giro in 2014 and Spain’s Vuelta in 2016, following he finished tenth on Wednesday, 3 minutes and 32 seconds behind Bogachar, which widened the difference between him as the fourth in the ranking and Vengegaard. The leader went to 7.35 minutes instead of 4.15.
The riders remain in the Pyrenees for Thursday’s final mountain stage of 143.5 km between Lourdes and Hotakam.
