A liter of 95 (E10) will thus cost a maximum of 1.888 euros, i.e. a reduction of 2 cents. The maximum price of the 98 (E5) will, on the other hand, increase once once more by 2.8 cents to reach 2.12 euros per litre. The price of diesel (B7) will fall, for its part, by 3.9 euro cents to reach 2.1630 euros.
This drop in gasoline prices is, however, limited by the so-called ratchet system. Since March, the government has provided fuel excise tax rebates. When the price falls below a certain threshold, however, these excise duties are increased a little once more. This will be the case with gasoline this time around.
