On the evening of December 24, Santa Claus, passing through Geneva for his traditional round of gifts, found himself in difficulty. Contacted, the Fire and Rescue Service (SIS) organized an emergency “barracks” (landing in the barracks) and attended, despite himself, the crash of Santa Claus in a sleigh. Fortunately for the latter, the firefighters were keen to help him accomplish his mission. The man with the beard therefore left behind the wheel of a red truck.
“This scenario, put into images by the SIS media unit, is a way of showing the population that we are there to help everyone, throughout the year”, confides Nicolas Millot, communication officer of the SIS. The video sequence, which features a sled on a zip line, was produced with the help of the climbing group, i.e. “firefighters who intervene to evacuate people via the facades of buildings or when it is necessary to go up high” . This Christmas clip is also “a nod to all the people who work during the holidays”, concludes the lieutenant.
