Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – It is not surprising that the quality of sleep of some individuals is affected during the month of Ramadan due to the frequent visits of relatives and friends, and the need to wake up in the morning to eat the suhoor meal.
And if you notice that you suffer from insomnia, it is important to identify its causes in order to be able to sleep well, avoid inactivity during fasting hours, and prevent health problems that may appear as a result of this problem.
Chronic lack of sleep affects the ability to focus, learn new things, solve problems, and make decisions.
Sleep disturbance is also linked to chronic diseases such as diabetes, depression, high blood pressure, conditions such as cancer, and even obesity.
Adults need at least 7 hours of sleep, while students in schools need between 9 to 12 hours of sleep per day, while teenagers need between 8 and 10 hours, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Control (CDC).
The official account of the Health Council for the Cooperation Council states, in a tweet via “Twitter”, dealt with some guidelines to avoid insomnia.
