Over the course of our lives, we spend nearly 25 years sleeping, or regarding a third of our lives. Sleep is essential for our health as it plays an important role in growth, brain development and the preservation of cognitive abilities. Indeed, good quality sleep contributes to the elimination of toxins, the production of hormones and the stimulation of immune defenses.
